Welcome to the Fremont Arts Council, one of Seattle's oldest community-based arts groups. Founded in 1979, the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) works to establish a bond between the neighborhoods of Fremont, Wallingford, Greenwood, Ballard and Queen Anne and the people who live in them. The FAC hosts a variety of classes, workshops and events each month. The Fremont Arts Council believes that art is essential to community. And even more: that great art creates community itself - through stewardship, a sense of belonging, and collective participation. Our vision is of a Fremont that's a fun, interesting, and beautiful place to live, to work, and to visit. And, of course, one that's for everyone - whether big and small, professional artist or beginner - to make great art in. What We Do We use creativity to build a stronger community. We believe in art as an integral part of everyday life. We promote diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds & art forms. |
