About the Fremont Arts Council

Welcome to the Fremont Arts Council, one of Seattle's oldest community-based arts groups.

Founded in 1979, the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) works to establish a bond between the neighborhoods of Fremont, Wallingford, Greenwood, Ballard and Queen Anne and the people who live in them.  The FAC hosts a variety of classes, workshops and events each month.

The Fremont Arts Council believes that art is essential to community. And even more: that great art creates community itself - through stewardship, a sense of belonging, and collective participation.

Our vision is of a Fremont that's a fun, interesting, and beautiful place to live, to work, and to visit. And, of course, one that's for everyone - whether big and small, professional artist or beginner - to make great art in.

What We Do

We use creativity to build a stronger community. We believe in art as an integral part of everyday life. We promote diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds & art forms.

Classes and Workshops

The Fremont Arts Council offers classes throughout the year in public and parade arts. These coincide with our signature events, including the Fremont Solstice Parade, Luminata, and the Winter Feast.

We are currently updating our list of classes.  Please check the calendar for more detailed class descriptions.
